How is the Academy different from Ngao Labs' free programmes?
Ngao Labs' flagship Foundations of Data Science & AI programme remains 100% tuition-free. Academy courses are offered at a fee and that tuition helps fund the free programmes and sustain Ngao Labs' broader mission.
Do I need a technical background to enrol?
No. The inaugural course, Data Analysis & Visualisation for Professionals, requires no prior coding experience. All you need is a computer, a willingness to learn and some familiarity with working with spreadsheets is helpful but not required. Prerequisites for future programmes will be listed individually.
Will there be more programmes beyond the first?
Yes. Data Analysis & Visualisation is the first of several planned Academy programmes covering practical digital skills for professionals. Our vision is to build a full portfolio spanning data, AI, technology, management and other areas of genuine professional demand.
What happens after I apply?
Applications are reviewed and followed by a placement offer. Once tuition is settled, you're onboarded to the Ngao Labs LMS and provided with all course materials ahead of the cohort's start date.
